Dance Troupe FAQ’s

What type of dance experience do I need?
Any type of dance experience will suffice - ballet, ballroom, tap, jazz, modern, etc. If you can keep up with basic to intermediate dance routines, you’ll do great!

Do I need to audition?
No. There are no auditions and members have the option to rehearse and perform at dance venues.

How often and where are classes held?
Wednesdays at 7:15pm at Captivation Dance Studio in Henderson
Thursdays at 6:00pm at Ballroom Addiction Dance Studio in Las Vegas

What type of dances will be taught?
We combine a variety of different styles of dances to create a specific “themed” and fun routine. Example: A routine that combines jazz and east coast swing steps to one of today’s pop songs.

What do you mean by “Show Group”? Will we be performing, and if so, where?
We will occasionally perform at local venues and community events in Henderson and Las Vegas if the venue makes sense and promotes the DreamBird Dance Troupe in a positive light.
**Members are NOT required to perform at any event. Performances are ALWAYS OPTIONAL.

What do I wear to class? Are there specific requirements?
Members should wear comfortable workout clothing or dance wear to weekly lessons, and we recommend wearing dance shoes with a velvet sole such as Crown practice dance shoes or jazz shoes which can be found at any local dance wear store. For performances, members will be expected to pay for their own performance outfit and shoes. The group will decide on the performance outfits together.

Anything else I should know?
Yes. DreamBird Dance Troupe is a kind, positive, NO DRAMA outlet for women to have fun and enjoy the physical, mental, and social benefits of dance. The owner has the right to refuse service to anyone from the group, permanently, at any time if they are gossiping, back-stabbing, snickering, being negative or disrupting the group in any way.
